During our recent stay at Grand Hotel, we were reminded of the old adage: not every experience is a perfect one. Having chosen the hotel again after a decent visit three years ago, we hoped to build lasting memories for our family. The hotel offers family-friendly amenities like a seasonal outdoor pool and a children's playground, which proved to be a hit with my kids. They splashed around while I enjoyed a moment of relaxation. We even managed to squeeze in a lovely horseback riding experience nearby, which added a touch of adventure to our trip. We faced some frustrating issues in our room that detracted from our enjoyment. The shower oscillated between very hot and icy cold, and we found dirty pillowcases in the wardrobe, which required a call to reception. The bed also left much to be desired-definitely not what you'd want after a day of family activities. The breakfast, while adequate, missed some basic options like ham or cheese.
